Academics

From music theory, to instrument playing, to voice training; TMMA has become renowned in the region for its high standards and quality in teaching and promoting learning. Standards are not compromised.  Our  teachers hold international and national qualifications and certifications in music teaching, music theory, and instrument playing. The academy is recognized as a center for adult and non-formal education by the Cross River State Ministry of Education, Nigeria.

TMMA syllabi are developed in line with those of leading international and national music education bodies like the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, UK, The Royal Conservatory of Music, Canada, Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), among several others.

 TMMA textbooks are duly approved by the Cross River State Ministry of Education.

TMMA offers preparation and graded examinations in music theory and instrument playing from beginner to advanced grades. Certificates are issued to successful candidates. Several of our  certificate holders have gained employment as music teachers in primary and secondary schools across Nigeria.
