Purpose - Returned to Paris to participate in the Exposition Universelle of 1889, continue his writing, and collaborate with Filipino ilustrados.
Worked on the annotation of Morga’s Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas while in Paris, strengthening his historical research on the Philippines.
Joined other Filipino expatriates in forming cultural and patriotic associations, including activities connected to Indios Bravos to promote Filipino talent and pride.
Assisted in organizing the Philippine section of the Exposition Universelle, where the Ifugao Village and some artifacts representing the Philippines were displayed.
Spent time socializing and collaborating with fellow artists and scholars such as Juan Luna and Felix Hidalgo.
Despite his active involvement in the Filipino community, Rizal later found Paris too expensive, leading him to relocate to Brussels in 1890 to minimize expenses while continuing his writings, including chapters of El Filibusterismo.
Left Paris permanently after completing his tasks and focusing his efforts on writing, reform activities, and his eventual stay in Belgium.
