Jacqueline Rolls is a multidisciplinary artist and sculptor exploring the relationship between people, place and the natural world. Working across sculpture, installation and mixed media, she transforms natural, found and reclaimed materials into artworks that reveal their beauty, resilience and hidden stories.
Rooted in traditional willow weaving and informed by experimental processes, Jacqueline’s practice bridges craft and contemporary art. Her work explores themes of ecology, memory, transformation and our connection with the environment.
Alongside her studio, Willow and Crafts, Jacqueline creates public artworks, commissions and participatory projects, while continuing to develop her own experimental sculptural practice.
Jacqueline has developed her work through supported opportunities including a bursary from ‘a space’ Art, a residency at Furzey Gardens in the New Forest, and Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice funding, which supported a ten-month residency at Tudor House, Museum and Gardens in Southampton.
She is a member of The Keepers Artist Collective, the Heritage Crafts Association, the Basketmakers Association and the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen.
