The Beginning
Toughest of all tasks is beginning, the Beginning.
Where I jot the ink? where I place my thoughts?
I do love beginnings however, the unknown delights me.
Gazing, I, it’s pouring in the middle of the night.
What if the cat is wet whining? he left it there,
Caressing previously, letting it unlearn to live in the wild.
I’m writing and erasing simultaneously,
Begin with “Midst of a starry sky”, but wait I need to begin from the beginning.
The lady, no! an adolescent, but the Child?
Memories hovering over empty mind,
Picturing all black and grey, the girl lost in adventure- lay,
Then vermilion resting in her scalp, all which happened!
She pulled out the sweater her mother knitted,
The cold breeze somehow lifted.
Walked towards the kitten, it meowed in silent approval.
