Light is the natural trigger to waking up and so we bought a Wake Up Light Alarm Clock several years ago.

The theory is simple, the light emitted replicates sun rise with a dull reddish glow it brightens very slowly over the next 5 to 30 minutes to produce a very, very, very bright 'sun shining' day. In this time your brain is registering the changing colour and increasing brightness, even through closed eyes, and it prepares to ready you for waking naturally and at your own pace.

The vast differences in prices come down to build quality and brightness of the lamp. Google for the best price and if you do buy online it's worth first comparing the different EU country prices since ours was €70 cheaper (inc delivery) from France but it came with a shaver plug.
