Early January works commenced to refurbish the outside of the Johnstown Shopping Centre.
Completed in time for Christmas SuperValu underwent a massive refurbishment to become one of the best outlets in the region.
Updated entrance signage in December announced that the Johnstown Shopping Centre units are now completely filled.
In the run up to Christmas excessive hogging of car parking spaces brought about notices indicating that it will no longer be tolerated.
BoyleSports expanded into the former Giovannis Chip Shop and News Today relocated to make way for Costa Coffee in December.

Buvinda House, The Council HQ, now accommodates the Motor Tax Office and it hasn't dramatically affected local traffic.
The Council have sought a sponsor for the roundabout in exchange for fees to maintain it. The sponsor could go further to enhance it with lighting or seasonal flowers. Hopefully the perimeter brickwork will now be repaired to remove those potholes. Read February Article
A raised road crossing across Metges Road is still being discussed at Council Meetings.

Johnstown Tidy Towns have not only been busy removing litter but are now making plans to have new roadside signage to act as markers announcing Johnstown a Community and as entrants into the annual competition.
Proposals are being discussed with the Community Garda by groups in Johnstown Village and Johnstown Peoples Park interested in having CCTV . Read February Article
We continue to experience high volumes of road traffic coming from the Kentstown Road to combine with the school traffic and pedestrians crossing Metges Road to create a bottle neck at the roundabout. The proposed new North+West Navan link road could provide some relief. Read February Article

Colaiste na Mi have one more year group to add in September. Works to compete the school are yet to begin resulting in many students using temporary portacabin classrooms.
