Q: Why named the website theFilter?

A: Hi, I’m glad you asked! Influenced by various art projects I have done during high school and college, I decided that theFilter was a fitting name for my website because it combines my love for design and mechanical systems. Not only does the name Filter come from a mechanical instrument that is used to separate larger objects, such as mass and light, into smaller components, but it can also describe how this website is designed to separate and showcase my different projects, skills, and thought processes.

Q: How do you decide which projects to feature on your website?

A: I tried to pick projects that showcase different parts of my skills, interests, personality, as well as thought process. Mostly, projects that I am very proud that are completed or mostly done. You will see a lot of product development projects since I want to become a Product Design Engineer after I graduate, and this is the type of project I am most proud of.

Q: What are some projects you would recommend checking out?

A: The PHANES Walker, AQQUS BiFold Case, Filmore House, and HPV Chassis Design are some of my favorite projects I have done over the years.

Q: How often do you update the website?

A: I am currently working on getting most of the content on my project completed. Once the website is completed I will then periodically update my webpage whenever I want to blog, add new art peices, or am developing new projects that I feel comfortable sharing!
