PHANES come from the name of a Greek deity meaning "Bring into Light."
Our mission is looking to unveil the mystery of life on Mars.

Background: The PHANES Walker was a project I completed during my time in NASA L'space Mission Concept Academy where my team of 11 people was given a design problem and had to design a comprehensive written proposal and deliver an oral presentation that met all the customer requirements, including system specifications, budget considerations, and timeline constraints within a 12-week timeframe.
Objectives: To design a cave exploration vehicle for a exploration-class mission to search for proof of past geological and microbiology activity and under Martian sub-surface.
The Block Diagram below details how various subsystem work in combination with each other in PHANES.
The image below shows a concept of operation that detailing how the walker would operate during the lifetime of its mission on Mars.
