When one of said Sarcopterygii made its existence known in 1938, it did indeed cause no small amount of uproar amongst Taxonomists, and in the scientific community in general. Also, did I mention that they are *really* weird?

They also get pretty bad press because of their Living Fossil-dom...or, more accurately, because of the incorrect notions about LFs that humanoid bipeds blithely take as gospel. "The minimal superficial changes to living fossils are mistakenly declared the absence of evolution ..."...still waters run deep, you clods. People.

Going undetected for 66 million years, whilst appearing *superficially* to have undergone little to no change in all that vastness of time...I am damn impressed.
