The podcast that focuses on Food, Culture, and Food Systems

Mission of the project

Welcome to the Ethnographic Eater on Google! This educational podcast focuses on Food, Culture, and Food Systems. In 2020, we faced the first global pandemic in nearly 100 years. This pandemic changed our habits, celebrations, and even the way we consume food. Thanks to friends and volunteers from the Association for the Study of Food and Society, this podcast was brought to life.

Our mission is to inform others across the globe about how food impacts us in different social circumstances. We hope to also hold conversations on: past and current food systems, race, religion, global pandemics, and how dishes from across the globe have changed over time. This podcast is meant to act as a learning hub for all ages!
