Courtney Summers has such a haunting and beautiful writing style. It amazes me how she dives into such heavy and dark topics while still keeping you wanting more. Even in the most uncomfortable parts, you can't stop reading.

Parker was at the top of her class, academically and in terms of popularity as well as being a perfectionist to a crippling degree. The stereotypical "it girl". Head cheerleader and dating the hottest guy in school. Then one day, seemingly out of the blue Parker snaps and does everything she can to numb herself. The mystery of this story is slowly pieced together and gives insight into the mental struggles Parker is facing and how she got to the point where she is.

Being a perfectionist, myself, there were elements that truly spoke to me and also frightened me. I'm obsessed with this book. It only took me about 4 hours to read.

Please check your trigger warnings before reading! It does deal with substance abuse as well as a few darker topics.
