Scope and Sequences
I took the Alberta English Language Arts outcomes and created three scope and sequences: reading, fiction writing and content area writing. They can be used to plan for your grade level but also to use as a differentiation tool for students that need a prior grade level skill taught or to push students to the next skill, who have already mastered the grade level outcomes. I believe it is important to know which outcomes are a precursor to the grade level you are teaching and the outcomes that you are heading to towards in the next grade higher. These were created on 11 x 17 paper.
