Math/LA Continuum

Teaching a combined classroom and/or differentiating is easier when grade level outcomes are organized next to each other. Math and Language Arts are sequential curriculum. In Alberta, it is important to view all the grade level outcomes to understand how the skills/processes/content began and where there are going. For example sentence fluency, a challenge for some students begins in Kindergarten, 4.2 - Develop a sense of sentence, then Gr. 1 - Write simple statements developing an awareness of capitals and periods, and then Gr. 2 - Use connecting words to join related ideas in sentence...etc.

I left a column open on the left side. These sheets can be used for a class, individual students (PLP goals) or to plan/keep track of lessons and outcomes. Below are directions to modify the spreadsheets or create your own.
