About Me

I also blog at: www.brandijclark.com

I am a lifelong learner. Managing several library cards and emptying bookstores of their best stocks. I want others to experience the joy of learning and have so far been successful in those endeavors.

I have a genuine interest in education. I excel at synthesizing ideas in literacy and numeracy but also pulling from outside sources in entertainment, self-help and entrepreneurship.

I love to present to large and small groups, children and adults. I once had a crowd of educators engage in the spontaneous singing of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. I’ve had the pleasure of presenting on the international stage at the International Literacy Association Conference in San Antonio (2013).

My education has been continuous. Whether it is self-education, a week at Harvard attending the Universal Design for Learning conference (2010)or completing a Master’s Degree (2013). On Feb 5, 2018 I achieved my Level One Google Educator Certification. I work hard for what I know and I am determined to fill in knowledge and skill gaps as needed.

In the pursuit of idea sharing, I have published two articles, one in Literacies, Learning & Libraries (2012) and another in Educational Leadership (2014).

In May 2017, I began to pursue freelance writing opportunities on a large scale specifically, combining literacy and numeracy with pop culture.

I welcome challenges. I need challenges. Looking for opportunities that utilize my current skills and introduce me to new ones.
