Have a special interest? Come find out about the CGEA special interest groups (SIGs). This meeting will have opportunities to meet regionally and also some will meet nationally on Thursday, April 22nd from 1-2pm EDT. Our CGEA Sig leaders are interested in meeting you! Check out the virtual hub where you’ll find a listing of all our SIGs.
The following CGEA SIGS are on the program for Thursday!
The Faculty Development Special Interest Group (SIG) at CGEA: facilitates the discussion and collective effort of faculty development in various areas such as mentoring, leadership, educator skills and faculty wellness. For this session, we will be hosting 20 minute “ignite” style presentations with Q & A and discussion on the topics of peer coaching/mentoring, junior faculty development and educational leadership development.
The Population Medicine SIG at CGEA: is interested in gauging level of interest in Population Health as part of these annual meetings. After this meeting we hope to identify specific population health areas of interest among members as well as ideas for future activities for this Interest Group. New and old members welcome!
The Program Evaluation and Accreditation SIG at CGEA: Please join us to discuss LCME Accreditation and CQI.
The Educational Leadership SIG at CGEA: Please join us for an opportunity to discuss and share what each of your respective institutions are doing in regard to the enlisting and guiding of the talents of both our learners and our faculty toward achieving common educational and leadership aims that will improve both our respective curricula for our students and the leadership of medical education across the continuum.
