While the Cetacean Alternative is my first ever website I've worked on for one of my many projects, I do have another project that readers may also enjoy! It's called Life on Luna; A Human Split. In this project, the Earth ecosystem was already on the brink of major collapse worldwide starting in the year 2530. A virus was made with the intention to slow human aging but instead caused a massive global pandemic that crossed species boundaries. Governments fell apart, ecosystems fell apart, and society ultimately falls apart. The whole project explores two sides of humanity developing after the fall of society. Generations pass for the rest of the world while a group of scientists are able to stay in cryostasis as they terraform and move the moon over the course of centuries, not aging because of the cryostasis. The small remnants of society left over eventually unified to form a global restoration organisation known as the Children of Chance. Over time this organisation turned into an outright theocracy with strict religious views. After finding the isolated facility with the scientists, they raided it and the scientists who had already terraformed the moon by this point and had seeded it with life centuries ago, decided to launch. From there, humanity began to split from those on the moon and those on Earth. And distinct interplanetary societies would eventually form.
