Center Coat of Arms

The Center Coat of Arms serves as the Official Seal of The Center. It has a Shield with 4 quadrants representing different aspects of The Center. From the top left moving counter clockwise, there is the Globe, a video game controller, handshakes (to symbolize friendship), and the scales of Justice.

Atop the Shield sits a head, inside a television set, with puzzle pieces inside the head. This represents the attempt to figure out the difficult tasks in order to achieve one's goals related to gaming.

To the left of the shield is a sloth, representing the laziness of Center Members. To the right side of the shield is a Knight on horseback representing Rutgers University, the place where The Center was founded.

The latin words underneath say Certamine (Competition), Aequabilit (Fair Play), Imaginatio (Imagination). The phrase was going to be "You guys take this way too seriously," the famous quote uttered by Dan McCaffrey that really does reflect the essence of The Center, but it just doesn't translate to Latin well, and as the quote would indicate, we take this way too seriously to not have our phrase be in Latin, come on!
