Pets:
If the animal is a domestic cat or dog and it is safe for you to place inside the pet carrier without injury to you or the animal,
Drive it to the City of Fremont’s Animal Services located at 1950 Stevenson Blvd. (510) 790-6635 What if they are closed? Here, the staff will then assign the animal a Case Number.
Then, you must drive the animal to the Aborn Pet Hospital, located at 40951 Grimmer Blvd. (510) 656-0223 They will accept the animal at no cost.
Wildlife:
Ohlone Humane Society Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Update 5/4/25: The Wildlife Center will is currently CLOSED for all intakes until further notice.

They accept animals BY APPOINTMENT between 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Tuesday thru Saturday. They are closed Sunday and Monday. This organization provides specialized care for injured, orphaned, displace, and/or distressed urban wildlife in order to release them back into their native habitat. Some of the wildlife cared for are birds, squirrels, foxes and reptiles.
