Plant sale 2/13/2022
2017 was a really great year, because of our donors!
To get ready for the Roeding 100 event in 2017, the windmill was refurbished. At the same time we moved our tools from the windmill and into a brand new garden shed. The Candle Lighters purchased the shed for us and the Niles Rotary gave us a generous donation to fit out the new garden shed. Dr. Richard Godfrey organized volunteers to refurbish the windmill. All this was done during record setting heat!
We thank them every time we go into the well organized shed and see our butter-colored windmill!
The iconic windmill was repainted by volunteers organized by the Niles Rotary. It is sooooo pretty now!
The shed was placed in the footprint of the historic Show Gardens with a 'Peace' rose garden planted in front. Thank you Candle Lighters and Niles Rotary!

The garden club has received grants, labor, plants, and donations from Dale Hardware, the Niles Rotary, the Candle Lighters, volunteers, and private individuals.
The City of Fremont has gifted us with sprinkler heads, fertilizer, mulch, loads of gravel, irrigation supplies. Their ongoing support for regular park maintenance and sprinkler issues is greatly appreciated.
We also get plant donations from neighbors and from the club members who propagate plants.
Thank you, Niles Rotary, for donating to our post-Pandemic Pops of Daffodils and Narcissus. We added to some drought tolerant gardens some bulbs to lift us out of our Pandemic blues.
