This article highlights the multifaceted functions of CARM1, extending beyond its well-established role in histone methylation to encompass the modification of diverse non-histone substrates and emerging non-enzymatic scaffolding activities. Many of the novel functions discussed were first identified and characterized by Yena in our lab.

[2025.02.26] Being awarded Research Grant from NRF
Our lab has been awarded a Research Grant from the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) for the project titled "Dynamic Regulation of Mitochondrial Arginine Methylation: Its Involvement in Doxorubicin-Induced Cardiotoxicity" (Grant No. RS-2025-00563180). We will receive 1,000,000,000 KRW over the next five years to support our research.
