This Privacy Policy describes how The Tide Simulator (the add-on) - a Google Sheets™ add-on developed by AT1 Research - handles user data.
Limited Use affirmative statement
The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This statement is included verbatim as required by Google's Workspace Marketplace policy.
What data the add-on accesses
The Tide Simulator requests only these OAuth scopes:
spreadsheets.currentonly: read/write access only to the spreadsheet the user has open.
- script.container.ui: display the add-on sidebar/dialog.
- script.scriptapp: run as a Google Apps Script™ project.
- userinfo.email and userinfo.profile: granted by Google by default. We do not store or transmit them.
The add-on does NOT access any other Google Workspace™ scope. It does not access Drive™ files outside the open spreadsheet, Gmail™, Calendar, Contacts, or any other user data.
How user data is used
All Monte Carlo computation happens inside the user's Google account - inside the Apps Script™ runtime attached to the open spreadsheet. Specifically:
We do NOT transmit user spreadsheet data to any AT1 Research server.
- We do NOT transmit user spreadsheet data to any third party.
- We do NOT store user spreadsheet data outside the open Google Sheet™.
- We do NOT use user data to train, develop, or improve any machine-learning model.
- We do NOT use user data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose other than running the simulation the user requested.
- We do NOT sell, rent, or share user data with anyone.
Logging and analytics
The Tide Simulator does not run analytics, telemetry, error reporting, or any third-party SDK that sends data off-device. Apps Script™ may keep operational logs visible only to the developer and only when a user explicitly invokes a function; those logs do not contain spreadsheet contents.
Data retention and deletion
Because The Tide Simulator does not store user data outside the user's own spreadsheet, there is nothing for AT1 Research to delete. Uninstalling the add-on from your Google Workspace™ account immediately revokes its OAuth grant.
Security
The add-on runs inside Google's Apps Script™ sandbox and inherits Google's security model. We follow the principle of least privilege - we ask for the narrowest scopes that allow the add-on to function.
Children's privacy
The Tide Simulator is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Any change will be posted here with a new Last updated date.
