Q: Does The Tide Simulator send my spreadsheet data anywhere?
No. All simulation runs inside Google's Apps Script™ sandbox attached to your open sheet. No data leaves your Google account.
Q: Which Google permissions does it ask for?
Only the active spreadsheet (spreadsheets.currentonly), the add-on UI scope, the Apps Script™ execution scope, and the email/profile scopes Google adds by default. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
Q: Does it work with Google Sheets™ on iPad or Android?
Google Workspace™ add-ons run on the desktop web version of Google Sheets™. Mobile support depends on Google's add-on framework.
Q: How many trials can I run?
This is bound by Google Apps Script™ execution time limits (currently six minutes per run). For most simulations, that allows 5,000 to 50,000 trials depending on model complexity.
Q: My simulation timed out. What now?
Reduce the number of trials, simplify the model, or split the run into batches. Apps Script™ timeouts are a Google-imposed limit, not a Tide Simulator limit.
Q: How do I uninstall?
Open the Google Workspace™ Marketplace, go to My apps, find The Tide Simulator, and click Uninstall.
