A dramatic foot pursuit unfolded earlier today after San Bernardino Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire coming from a moving vehicle. According to preliminary information, a suspect riding in the passenger seat of the vehicle had been discharging a firearm into the open before fleeing on foot. 

Officers reportedly chased the armed individual and are believed to have either apprehended or shot the suspect. Authorities have not yet confirmed the suspect’s status.

The driver of the vehicle, believed to be an accomplice, has not been taken into custody from what we know, and their whereabouts remain unknown to us. SBPD has not released an official statement, and it remains unclear whether a warrant will be issued in connection with the case.
