Here you will find the latest news about Chrismonte:
On the 14th of July 2025, a presidential decree led to the creation of Chrismonte's two first ministries: the State, Security and Health Ministry (SSHM) and the Ministry of the Environment, both judged crucial for the nation. You can as of now find more information about them on the website.
After the former president's resignation in November 2024, the new temporary president, Luke W., found himself struggling to lead and develop Chrismonte alone, especially as the micronation reached 15 citizens and a total area of 1.214 m² as of June 2025. This lead to the creation of a team of volunteer citizens, who will assist him until the end of the summer. As a dynamic group, they will be able to construct Chrismonte on the long term. Feel free to join if you wish to help!
Dear citizens,
Benjamin D., president of the Temporary Governing Committee, has tendered his resignation. He doesn't wish to be as implicated in the affairs of the country, so is stepping back, but will remain a citizen.
Until the next elections, which should take place soon, I will be in charge of current affairs.
Long live the Republic! Long live Chrismonte !
Luke W., Temporary Governing Committee
Happy Independence Day
Exactly one year ago, this very day, Chrismonte proclaimed its independence and freed itself from the chains which linked it to France. Let us celebrate this historic day as an encouragement and a new hope. Our nation can still expand, as its recent growth shows. Chrismonte is now composed of 11 citizens and covers 64 square meters of territory. We still have a lot to do!
In October 2024, the Temporary Governing Committee proceded to revise Chrismonte's founding Constitution. The goal was to improve the political functioning of the nation, by making it more democratic and experimenting with a new political model.
This revision was presented to citizens in a referendum on October 15th, and the final results were published on 19 October. 89% of respondents voted in favour of the new revised Constitution. It was therefore adopted and promulgated, and is accessible through this link: Constitution
We, the founders of the Chrismontean nation and temporary leaders of the country, issue this statement after a few months of silence.
We affirm once again our will and motivation to grow this project, as a political experiment and community space, engaging and inclusive, without an autocratic way of governing, but by promoting the active participation of those involved, in order to build a collective and citizen-based nation.
Given our house move over the summer, Chrismonte's capital changed on August 27th, 2024. The new capital, Azuria, with blue walls and an incomparable view, is located in our new room of 16.5 square meters.
Finally, we thank all those who have recently joined us and are interested in Chrismonte. Citizenship is free and compatible with other nationalities, and gives you the right to vote and stand for election, especially as elections approach (https://forms.gle/2f3Xr7jw8X7RgtwQ9 ). We encourage you to contact government departments if you have any questions or proposals (chrismontean.governmentservices@gmail.com).
Long live the Chrismonte, long live the Republic!
Simon and Benjamin D.
