Chapter One: Welcome to Our Family
Welcome to our little corner of the internet.
This journal is where we'll share the real story behind The Rebels Ranch—the good days, the hard days, the funny moments, the lessons we're learning, and everything in between.
This isn't a highlight reel, and it isn't a place where we'll pretend life is perfect. Some days will be exciting. Some days will be exhausting. Some days we'll celebrate a new product, and other days we'll order pizza, watch a movie, and decide tomorrow can worry about itself.
We hope you'll join us for all of it.
Before there was The Rebels Ranch, there was just me, Fiona.
I bought my home in July 2022. My children were grown, I was single, and I lived alone. Life had settled into a familiar routine. I worked, ran a different small business, went shopping, and spent my days off doing one of my favorite things—wandering through thrift stores.
I loved looking for things for my home, forgotten treasures that deserved another chance, and pieces I could turn into art.
One day in January 2024, I walked into our local Veterans Thrift Store.
A man working there caught my eye. I thought he was cute and sweet, and as I walked around looking at things, he kept finding reasons to follow me and ask questions.
By the time I left, I had a new little frying pan for the house...
and a date.
That man was Vincent, and we have been together ever since.
I still joke that I have always loved thrifting because there is something special about giving old things a new life. Looking back, I guess that has always been true...
after all, I found my husband in a thrift store.
Vincent likes to say that we are both secondhand, and secondhand is so much better than brand new.
Before we go any further, we'd like to properly introduce ourselves. Every family has a story, and this one is ours.
Fiona
Hi! I'm Fiona.
I'm an artist, maker, coffee lover, and lifelong thrift store treasure hunter. I've always believed there's something special about creating with your hands and giving old things a new purpose.
Whether I'm pouring candles, blending herbs, making pepper jelly, designing new labels, or wandering through a thrift store looking for forgotten treasures, I'm happiest when I'm creating something that brings a little joy into someone else's life.
If you've ever stopped by our website, sent us a message, or placed an order, there's a pretty good chance we've already chatted. I truly enjoy getting to know the wonderful people who support our little dream.
Vincent
This is Vincent.
He's an Army veteran, the calm to my chaos, and the person who can fix just about anything with enough time and determination.
He's also the king of dad jokes.
Seriously... they're endless.
Vincent is the heart behind many of the things we create here at The Rebels Ranch. From pepper jelly and honey to candles, woodworking, and countless behind-the-scenes projects, he pours just as much love into everything we make as I do.
He'll probably tell you we're both "secondhand," and honestly... he's right. We both lived full lives before we found each other, and somehow that makes us appreciate what we have even more.
Donkey
Meet Donkey.
Our loyal adventure buddy, official shop supervisor, and constant shadow.
If we're working, Donkey is working.
If we're outside, Donkey is outside.
If we're packing orders, he's making sure everything is done exactly the way he thinks it should be.
He's happiest when his family is together, and honestly... so are we.
Boots
And finally...
This is Boots.
His full legal name is Puss-In-Boots, but he usually answers to Boots... when he feels like it.
He's our resident quality-control inspector, professional napper, and believes every package, every box, and every project absolutely requires his personal approval before it's finished.
Like any good cat, he reminds us daily that we're simply living in his house.
Together, we're The Rebels Ranch.
We're a family that believes life is better when it's lived a little slower, laughter is shared often, coffee is almost always brewing, and the best things are still made by working hands—not machines.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to get to know us.
We're so glad you're here.
