BEGINNING TRAINING ORIENTATION...
Your job as a trainer is to welcome the new Jedi to the Order, and give them the necessary prerequisites to succeed.
The best way to tie this information together in their mind is to focus on how
what they learn here will be applied to them ranking up.
Stay responsive, active, and engaged through the training, and always make sure they don’t have any questions.
S E C T I O N I :
Firstly, begin with the in-character fundamentals. Explain how each in-character thing they learn or achieve helps them rank up and level up.
THE JEDI
Show the ranking list to the student, explain that they are currently a Youngling, they will become an Initiate at the end of training, and their goal from there is to find a master to become a Padawan.
The primary goal from there is to train under their master to become a Knight, which is the beginning of their path of light.
The rest of these fundamentals should all be tied to undergoing their Knight trials, and the Masters trials later.
Explain how the softcap system makes it easier for you to level up by ranking up rather than just grinding.
THE TRIAL PREREQUISITES
The Initiate must meet all of these prerequisites to even attend a trial:
Must have a master.
Must have at least 24 hours playtime.
THE JEDI CODE
The Initiate will need to know the Sith code and be able to defend their interpretation of it to a Councillor.
THE 7 FORMS OF LIGHTSABER COMBAT
The Initiate will need to have an understanding of each form for the trials.
Explain how each of these forms are attainable through the stats system, which will be covered later.
THE ORGANIZATIONS
The Initiate will likely need to be in one of these organizations for the trials.
Have them read through the organization descriptions, and ensure they don’t have any questions about them.
THE CLASSES
Explain that each class has slightly different trials and stat benefits.
S E C T I O N I I :
THE BASELINE
Once the in-character fundamentals are shown to the student, move into the fundamentals that they’ll need to know to interact on the server. Share the links to crucial information that they will need on the server:
The Reborn Discord and Rulebook can be posted using “!links”
You can also share the links to the Ability Requirements and the Jedi Discord.
THE MAIN MENU
Instruct them to open up the ‘I’ menu by pressing ‘I’.
Go from each tab from left to right, explain each tab.
CHARACTER
Explain that, as a new Student, they start with 10 stat points to distribute.
Explain that as the student continues to rank up, they will have more stat points to distribute.
Tie the stats into the next portion about inventory, by explaining that they can get equipment that improves their stats.
INVENTORY
Explain all crates, crafting goods, saber items, equipment, and more will be located here.
ABILITIES
Explain that each ability that they can attain will show
Tell the trainee how to add their lightsaber form and other abilities to their hotbar and then save their loadout using ‘ctrl+m1’ on one of the loadout slots
Inform them they will need to select their loadout when they load into the server
STATISTICS
Shows vendor reputation, and other character information.
OPTIONS
Have the student change their name to ‘Jedi Initiate [name]’
S E C T I O N I I :
THE JOURNEY
Take them to the warp pad to journey to Ilum, mentioning a few of the important spots that you pass by in the Temple.
Once they arrive at the warp pad, ensure they have the credits necessary to transit to Ilum and travel together.
Once you arrive on Ilum, bring them to the ancient Jedi Temple and watch over them as they do the intro quest.
When the Initiate completes the intro quest, bring them back to Tython.
FIRST STEPS
S E C T I O N I I I :

These attacks are directional, and change from form-to-form.

Light attacks can be parried by simultaneously blocking and pressing Left Click when they attack.
Heavy attacks cannot be parried, but can be blocked, at a severe stamina cost.

Explain how to float by using Space + E.

Ask if they have any further questions.
If they want a tour of the Temple and/or planets, proceed to Section IV.
If not, the training is over and they are free to go on their way.
S E C T I O N I V :
Your goal in this tour is to be brief and informative. Show them important spots, and do not waste their time.

The Archives
Show them the Archives and explain that the Vault stores holocrons which must be defended.
Nobody outside of the Council should open the Vault.
Show them out to the warp pad.
If they want a tour of the other planets, proceed to Section V. If not, then the training is over and they are free to go on their way.
S E C T I O N V :
TATOOINE
Upon arrival, you are immediately greeted with a vendor store and the crafting table.
First, walk to the Commerce Guild vendor bank, and explain the Vendor System:
Each vendor has their own inventories, and these are dotted around every planet.
Vendor reputations can be leveled up by doing quests associated with that vendor.
The resources they sell can be used to craft equipment.
Show the Acolyte the crafting table right beside them and explain Crafting System:
Each tier of crafting materials improves chances at a higher-tier equipment.
The Crafting document can help them understand this.
Alchemy can also be done at this worktable, tell them about it if they’re interested.
Walk outside and show them Jenth Wesk, and explain the Quest System:
Explain that Marshal Wesk is the Quest NPC for the Commerce Guild, and each quest you do for him grants vendor reputation.
The quest system allows you to progress naturally:
Experience allows you to level up, and quests are the best source of XP.
The crates that drop give you resources to craft your own equipment.
The credits you gain can be used with other players and with vendors.
Vendor reputation you gain improves the tier of resources available at vendors.
Progressing through the quest system allows you to have a solid foundation for everything.
If you know of optimal quests for progression, share this information with them here.
This tour presents them with much of the same information that could be found on other planets, but you can take them to the other planets if they so wish.
