A Guardian's skills and talents reside in their blade. They mainly concentrate on martial training and combat. Guardians have often been seen as representatives of the Order and the classic Jedi weapon: the lightsaber. Often times, Guardians build their lightsabers using a blue kyber crystal; symbolizing solidarity and uniformity. 

A Sentinel possesses considerable combat skills and knowledge of the Force, blending both schools of teaching and amplifying them into a series of non-Force skills. These fields included security, stealth, demolitions, and computers. They often find isolation within Temples to be a hindrance, and seek to work with civilians of the galaxy. They usually use a yellow kyber crystal within their lightsabers.

A Consular's skill relies heavily in their knowledge of the Force. They concentrate on mental refinement through study and meditation, seeking to perfect the art of diplomacy and meditation. While they would attempt to avoid conflict, they still carried a lightsaber, often with a green blade, symbolizing their commitment to peace.
