Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) are touch screen Panasonic Toughbook tablets installed in NSW RFS appliances that will enable two-way, real-time sharing of incident intelligence between members in the field and IMTs improving both dispatch and response performance. The introduction of the MDT to RFS operational activities provides members with new tools and enhanced situational awareness on the fireground. In order to support members in the use of the MDT, a comprehensive suite of training materials and activities are available. The training material is split into the two different MDT functional systems, Adashi First Response + Command & Control.
Adashi First Response is software designed to be used by all RFS members to record their vehicle status, see incident details and intel, record crew member details and complete BIRS reports plus more.
Command & Control is for members involved in management of incidents and includes additional functionality such as recording of fireground command structures, in depth sitrep reporting and an action journal.
