Welcome Email (Onboarding)
Welcome Email (Onboarding)
Client/Brand: The Content Partner
Type: Welcome Email (Onboarding Series – Email 1)
Tool Used: Figma
Objective: Introduce new members to the program, establish trust, and set expectations for the 12-month coaching journey in eCommerce.
The goal of this welcome email was to create a warm, personal, and professional first impression for new subscribers who joined The Content Partner’s coaching program. It needed to reflect the brand’s values of mentorship, authenticity, and practical eCommerce expertise, while guiding users to feel confident in their investment and engaged from day one.
1. Tone & Personalization
Personalized greeting (“Welcome, Amanda!”) creates a direct emotional connection.
Friendly, encouraging copy reflects the mentor-student relationship at the heart of the brand.
Used the founder’s photo and signature to build credibility and foster trust.
2. Visual Design
Designed in Figma using a vibrant, clean layout that balances white space with bold color pops.
Incorporated custom geometric shapes and branded colors to create visual energy without distraction.
Emphasis on human elements, smiling images, and a video preview, to make the experience feel personal and high-touch.
3. Content Strategy
Positioned the email as a guided entry point into the program, easing any potential uncertainty.
Embedded a welcome video thumbnail to increase engagement and offer a more personal introduction.
Reassured the user by emphasizing proven methods, exclusive insights, and the long-term value of the coaching.
Improved engagement rates due to personal tone and welcome video CTA.
Higher retention due to clear expectation-setting and reassurance of value.
Helped set the stage for a strong onboarding funnel by reinforcing trust and transformation.
I led the complete visual and content design of this email, including:
Layout and design in Figma
Copywriting and message hierarchy
Visual strategy and color selection
Brand alignment with tone, voice, and aesthetics
Optimization for readability and engagement
A great welcome email builds trust, excitement, and clarity from the start.
Using human faces, video, and a founder’s message can dramatically increase connection and credibility.
Clear design and emotional copywriting are just as important as product value in a high-ticket coaching funnel.
