These can be used by anyone for any kahvmas.
Kahvs can have a maximum of one fur color mutation and one eye color mutation. This can change if they have any of these mutations: Multiple Heads [L], Chimerism [UN], or Conjoined Twins [UN].
Just cause a kahv may present as one of the below (ex. having white markings, having a yellow color palette) doesn't mean they have to have one of these mutations. It is up to you if you'd like to label their colors as a mutation.
Fur Color:
Melanism [NR]
Albinism [NR]
Leucism [NR]
Erythrism [NR]
Xanthochroism [NR]
Axanthism [NR]
Eye Color:
Complete Heterochromia [NR]
Sectoral Heterochromia [NR]
Central Heterochromia [NR]
These can only be used by Staff and Artists with permission.
Kahvmas cannot have multiple unseen mutations.
•Chimerism [UN]
•Conjoined Twins [UN]
All kahvmas have a gem on their body. It's located on their back, between their shoulders, and allows them to control energy within their body, and draw it out from their surroundings too. This often manifests as some sort of power or supernatural ability. It also helps them with regulating things within their body, like temperature and most hormones and chemicals.
The manifestation of this energy has no limits, it can be anything. For example: shadow manipulation – allows the kahv to manipulate shadows, water manipulation – allows the kahv to manipulate water, healing – allows the kahv to transfer slightly modified energy to others to heal injuries, spirit speak – allows the kahv to communicate with spirits. Each kahv has one power, and no more than that.
It is rare that kahvs don't have powers. This is always due to their gem being damaged, certain diseases, or some kind of mutation of the gem.
A damaged gem can kill them, depending on the extent of the damage. Their gems are extremely hard to damage.
When a Kahv is using their powers, their gem will glow. This glowing typically also happens with their eyes and mist, and in quetils the orbs on the ends of their ears can glow too in some cases. A kahv's gem, eyes, and mist will always be the same colors and have the same patterns.
Nychta Disease is a deadly sickness that seems to only affect kahvmas. It appears in stages, the last of which normally leads to death. It can be passed from kahv to kahv, via both direct and indirect contact. It's forbidden to be around an infected, and can lead to various penalties against the kahv who was around an infected one for a long period of time.
Stage 1
The infected kahvmas' eyes and mist (if they have any) appear duller than normal, and start to grow darker and closer to navy blue. The gem dulls but doesn't turn to navy blue yet. The infected may have a fever, be constantly tired, and stumble when walking.
Stage 2
The infected's powers weaken, and their gem may have small cracks/fractures starting to form. Their color continues to darken to navy blue, their pupils start to lighten, and their sclera start to darken. They may have a higher fever and have trouble moving/standing.
Stage 3
The fur and flesh of their tail starts to wither and fall off as the bone lengthens. If they didn't have any mist before it starts to appear along the length of the bone. Their gem is cracked and small pieces may be missing. Their claws start to lengthen and can't be retracted. The past conditions only get worse.
Stage 4
The transformation is finished. Their eyes are completely navy blue other than a small, white slit pupil. Their fur and skin may start drooping, like slime. Their tail is completely bone with the mist dripping down. Their gem has some form of large missing bit in the middle. Their powers are completely gone. Fever and shakes are gone, but the chance of death goes up to 95%.
Another physical difference is that infected kahv's fur can look like normal fur, like healthy kahvs, or it can have a more rounded, droopy look like slime. Their fur may also have a slight sticky or smooth feel, like dragging your hand against certain slimes, but it's not actually made of slime. An infected kahv's blood and tears are made of some kind of goop the same color of their eyes and mist. It's also the same substance that makes up the affected body parts of infected kahvs with the "Slime Body Parts" mutation. There are some cases in where infected kahvs will also throw up the substance at random, which contributes to the high death rate of the disease since they can end up suffocating on the substance.
The biggest and most important rule in their society is: infected kahvs are not allowed to be in Packs and have to be Rogues. The only exception is if the Pack is a Rogue Pack that allows those with the disease to join.
Figurine Disorder is a condition that turns the kahvma' body to a non-living material. It's caused by coming in contact with a certain type of animal, called delagers, by ingesting it or coming in contact with it's bodily fluids and excretions. There are multiple breeds of this animal, resulting in slightly different effects for each breed.
It cannot be passed from kahv to kahv, only from a delager to a kahvmas. It can be passed on from an infected parent to a child, though, if the parent had the disease before the child was born. These kahvs are allowed in Packs, since it can't be transfered from kahv to kahv.
Glass/Crystal
Turns the body to glass/crystal.
Can be solid or hollow.
If hollow, it can have other things inside (liquid, dirt, rocks, plants, etc.)(opt).
Eyes are the same as normal, but are covered by a thin glass/crystal casing, which can make it harder for them to see.
Porcelain
Turns the body to porcelain.
Can be solid or hollow.
Can look like a doll (opt).
Eyes are the same as normal.
Plastic
Turns the body to plastic.
Can be solid or hollow.
Can look like a doll (opt).
Eyes are the same as normal, just covered with a thin film that makes it slightly harder for them to see.
Wood
Turns the body to wood.
Can be solid or hollow.
Can look like a doll (opt).
Eyes are the same as normal.
Can have a weathered look (chips, uneven places, splintery areas)(opt).
Cloth
Turns the body to cloth.
Insides turn to stuffing. This does not seem to harm the kahv.
Eyes are the same as normal.
