STOP PRESS

OCTOBER 2026 we are Headland FolkFest (Hartlepool) "Rising Star of 2026"

The Blow-ins - husband and wife Phil Bennett and Bridget Cousins - are based in Scarborough and make gentle acoustic music with Celtic harp, guitar and voices. We are known for original, high-quality work; our eclectic mix of old and new folk songs and mesmerising harp /guitar duets has been heard by a rapidly growing number of appreciative festival and folk club audiences across the country. In July 2024 we won the coveted Great North Folk Festival songwriting award for our song 'The Hounds of Heaven'

A musical journey with the Blow-ins takes you from ancient love songs to contemporary protest with quiet humour and powerful emotion.

See our Press Pack page for further info, band bio etc...

Under 'More' you will find the stories behind all the songs on our 2024 album "All along the Sand" - just scroll down from the arrow to find the title you want, with lyrics too.
