Florida! This is my third year and it feels a bit like going back home. The atmosphere is wonderful and the course is as good as ever. This year Tim joins for almost two weeks of hard work and fun with the wonderful students coming from all over the planet...
We are looking forward for students to join the A-Lab's efforts in dendritic spine detection. Today Gabi presents two projects at the faculty of Mathematic and computer science at the TUM in Garching.
This year we all abide to the centenary tradition of the Oktoberfest. We go to Wiesn!

Our (long overdue...) laboratory hike takes place close to the wonderful Spitzingsee, a short drive from home. We really do our best but the weather doesn't support us at all...It is anyway a great chance to spend some time together, get to know each other better and have FUN! Thanks to everybody.

This year the department goes to Israel to visit our "brother" lab from the Weizman institute. This is a wonderful trip: not only the science is excellent but our hosts in Israel organise a truly unforgivable trip with visits to the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Yafo and the Negev Desert. We truly have a ball!
Here we go again: Florida! As last time it's a wonderful experience, both as a faculty and as a student. The course has the right balance of theory and practice, the venue is fantastic and the faculty is excellent. Moreover this time Gabi is joining the course as a TA, and she loves it!
We are very proud of Tim who was acclaimed as the "Burger King" in Hamburg today! Congrats to Tim, we hope to be able to enjoy his creations soon.

We have hosted the first edition of the Schwabing Neuroscience Symposium. It has been great fun and we hope that it will become a fixed appointment to bring together people of the Munich "downtown neuroscience campus".
This year's FENS meeting is very exciting, full of interesting science and a lot of friends and colleagues. We all have great and exceptionally stimulating time in Denmark and we look forward to next meeting in Berlin 2018!

For the first time I take part of a course as a faculty! It's a wonderful experience, both as a faculty and as a student. The course has the right balance of theory and practice, the venue is fantastic and the faculty is excellent. I am really happy to have had this chance.
For the very first time the "extended" A-lab takes off for a little hike together. We go to Schliersee to make the best use of one of the latest days of summer. It has been truly an exceptional day and I look forward for many more of these to come!
