The Visual Arts program at The Greene School provides students with dynamic art education through the exploration of a variety of art media, including: drawing and illustration, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital photography, digital art, graphic design and video editing. Students build technical skill while exploring a wide range of methods and materials and are empowered to take risks as they create. Students' visual art lessons are conceptually interwoven with other content areas, larger social and environmental themes and always promote student choice and self-expression. In addition to gaining proficiency and confidence in their art making, students learn to evaluate and interpret art history, while developing critical analysis skills through verbal critique and writing. #VisualArtEdMatters
