Having professional photographs taken at weddings is a great way to preserve priceless memories, as stated on the Wedding Tab
It's important to document every second of the bride's wedding day. In the future, the groom will look back on that photo of him and the guys and chuckle, while the bride will watch the video of her father walking her down the aisle and weep a few tears. It takes a lot of work and planning to capture these priceless moments.
Yellow House Media is owned and operated by cinematographer Stacey Cohorst and photographer Erin Phillips. They have attended countless weddings and know what to expect. They supplied thoughtful advice based on their own experience in order to make the most of every moment of the big day.
A lot of pressure, Phillips added. "A typical photo shoot lasts no more than half an hour. You have to cram a wedding into seven hours and make sure you don't forget anything (details, relatives, etc.).
When booking a photographer and videographer, it's best to do it at least six months, preferably a year, in advance.
Phillips warned that "spring and fall dates tend to go fast" if you're looking for one.
In addition, "we now have people down for 2024," Cohorst said. In addition, "Saturdays are in high demand, yet there are only four in a given month."
Phillips and Cohorst emphasised the significance of deciding on a visual aesthetic that is appropriate for the wedding in order to employ the appropriate media specialists.
"I would study the work of many photographers," Phillips stated. Some may offer dark and sombre or light and airy, but we prefer earthy tones and vintage. To that end, I would ask myself, "Would I regret this look in 20 years?"
"I'd want to know if it's in line with who I am." Cohorst included.
Phillips noted that most consumers will be on a budget, but cautioned against just going with whoever provides the lowest costs for photography and videography services.
This is my number one piece of advice for everybody," Phillips remarked. What I mean to say is that there are many of areas where you can cut corners without sacrificing quality, but photography is not one of them. Because of the importance of the occasion, you shouldn't trust your wedding photos to an amateur.
Phillips assured us that we can strike a balance between taking a chance on a new recruit and spending too much money.
Phillips affirmed that it is possible to take good photos without breaking the bank. "All you have to do is locate someone who is amenable to working with you and create a good compromise between the two of you."
Phillips explained frequent frustrating blunders and how to avoid them.
One common blunder, Phillips said. Especially if they're planning an outdoor ceremony, they should think about lighting. So let's say you've prepared your altar and are satisfied with its appearance, but the time you've chosen for your ceremony is two o'clock in the afternoon, and you're about to have to cancel it. Everyone's faces will be in intense shade because the sun will be straight overhead.
It can be difficult to plan for every contingency when holding a wedding outside.
Phillips instructed, "You need to go out to wherever you are being married." Check the lighting to see whether your face will be cast in any unflattering shadows. We photographers have the tools to fix that, but it looks better if you take the time to plan for and eliminate any unwanted shadows.
Phillips added that sunset weddings are also common.
If you wish to get married during a beautiful sunset, Phillips suggested. "Better to have the sunset in front of you or behind you than by your side."
A wedding's lighting is crucial for several reasons, not the least of which are taking photographs and making videos.
Phillips remarked, "I always tell brides." Make sure they aren't giving themselves extra work to do. When you're up there, you shouldn't have to strain your eyes to see.
Yellow House Media offers three different options for consumers to choose from in order to record their special day: photo just, video only, and photo and video. Booking a specialist is flexible, allowing customers to select a time frame between three and ten hours.
We have everything," Cohorst proclaimed. Pictures and movies are available from the same vendor at a price reduction.
Yellow House Media is an example of a company that offers both photography and videography under the same banner.
While working with us, "you kill two birds with one stone," as Phillips put it. We wanted to set ourselves apart from the norm, so we decided to offer both photography and videography services to our clients.

Phillips emphasised the significance of hiring a seasoned professional photographer. Photographs are all that are left after the wedding is over.
