Join us for our FREE Computer Literacy course starting on April 6, 2026 - June 8, 2026, every Monday from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM [PST] at the Greater Maple Valley Community Center, inside the Den Youth Center, at 22010 SE 248th St. Maple Valley, WA 98038.
All are welcome to join. No pre-registration is needed to join this course.
Technology is a growing field that continues to change every single day. With new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, laptops and desktops, and new operating systems changing, keeping up with the technology changes is difficult to get behind. In this course, students learn the fundamentals of basic Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail), external computer hardware literacy, cybersecurity skills, basic technology usage, and basic technology terms and context.
Understand the basics of the ChromeOS/Windows Operating System.
Learning the basics of Google Workspace programs.
Review cybersecurity skills, including seeing current vulnerabilities in technology.
Understand basic technology terms used currently today.

Join our asynchronous Google Classroom page, and view the same course curriculum that you would normally see in our in-person courses with an instructor. In our asynchronous course - you can view presentation slides, see public resources offered in Washington State, helpful links to use, and view up-to-date course curriculum to match with current technology changes in our society.
Our asynchronous course is free for everyone, for non-commercial use. Students & Instructors can use the course curriculum to learn and teach technology at their own pace.
* Note that this asynchronous course is only available during the duration of the Spring 2026 course. Students only in the asynchronous course are not eligible to use Office Hours (Tutoring Support), or ask technical support/course questions to the instructor, due to time constraints.
