This lesson was inspired by an amazing opportunity called Transatlantic Outreach Program. It was one of the most inspiring study tours I have ever been on. It was a two week study tour in Germany. If you are a STEM teacher or a History teacher, I highly recommend you checking this study tour out. The top lesson is what I wrote for the program. Underneath you will see some of the ways I have made changes to it throughout the years.
I used these to kick off the project. I have since changes these a few times, but this will help you have a jump off spot.
There is an activity where the kids stand up when they see the clothing that matched the weather on the screen. Here are the clips of the videos and a PDF of the clothes. The pics are clip art from word. The videos were from youtube.
