After being physically left behind her entire life due to a congenital heart deformity & ongoing disease, Andrea Ogg of Sedalia, CO saw her life both saved & dramatically changed when she received a new heart at the age of 52. Since then she has hiked over 1000 miles at elevation in the Rocky Mountains and sang & danced her way across multiple stages in musical theatre performances. In 2023, she celebrated her five-year Heartaversary by completing the world's highest elevation half-marathon, honoring her Donor every step of the way.
Andrea is dedicated to sharing her story and inspiring others to embrace organ, eye, and tissue donation as a public speaker & media representative for Donor Alliance.
As she is fond of saying, “Heart recipients can not only lead normal lives. They can lead *extraordinary* ones.”
