New Maps by Aphasia[CM]
Built on the idea that less is more, DoubleCTF centers on bringing an old idea back to Capture The Flag, which is that you cannot capture the enemy flag unless your own flag is home (returned).
The capture pad sits on the floor just below your flag's home rest, and if your flag isn't sitting pretty, you'd better get it back if you want to score with their flag! In this map, you literally will have to chase down the player who stole you flag, kill them, and carry your OWN flag back home - dropping it on ITS home pad - before you can touch the capture pad and drop the enemy flag off for 10 points. The key to winning on this map is getting your team to work together so that you don't have to do all that yourself.
Changing roles, moving from attack to defend, holding onto the enemy flag as your team retrieves your own flag... that's what this map is all about.
Multiple routes and multiple elevations for attack and escape provide ample room to move... and be careful - don't fall off!
And, just because I can't be completely boring about everything - this map includes a new set of CTF flags and sounds with an animal theme.
