July 25 – Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival Fundraiser
We will host a charity booth to sell our hand-painted upcycled tote bags and handcrafted tie-dye apparel, dedicating all proceeds to the preservation of House of China.
March – Museum Research Visit
Our team visited the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum to conduct historical research and learn more about the experiences of Chinese immigrants and entrepreneurs in San Diego. Museum staff expressed support for our project and discussed future opportunities to showcase our research findings.
April – Upcycled Art Production
Under the mentorship of local artist Alice, our team transformed eco-friendly tote bags into unique hand-painted works of art. These products became an important part of our fundraising efforts.
Dragon Boat Festival Fundraiser
At the San Diego Dragon Boat Festival, our cultural exhibition and fundraising booth attracted hundreds of visitors. Through educational displays and sales of our hand-painted products, we raised over $500 to support the House of China while promoting awareness of Chinese-American history.
Memorial Day Fundraiser
During Memorial Day weekend, our team organized a follow-up fundraising event at the House of China in Balboa Park. The event generated additional support for preservation efforts while helping visitors learn about local Chinese-American heritage.
