Rocket Design
Below are the schematics for our rocket

Our rocket is a 3-stage rocket that is separated into three sections. Each stage comes with an engine, and these engines fire at different times. Ideally, each successive engine would fire as the previous one loses fuel, and we simulated this by delaying the start times of each engine. The parachute is located near the nose of the rocket, and our carbon capture device would be located in the top section of the rocket. It would be released once the rocket reaches its maximum altitude of 2857 feet.
Here is a video of our first trial run with the rocket. In this run, we used fairly weak engines, so we didn't gain a very high altitude. Our parachute was also too wide, so the downward path was very shallow.
On our second trial run, we exchanged our engines for more powerful ones, and used a smaller parachute to fix the problems from the first run.
Finally, here's a graph from our final trial run
