Otis Mountain was once a downhill ski area. It is part forest, part open, part hillside and part flat and excellent for acroyoga, plus there are miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking and running. This is an outdoor, wilderness area.
Camp address: Otis Mountain, Lobdell Ln, Elizabethtown, NY
We will be meeting on a mountain. That still amazes me. Take a minute to think about that!
Drinking water is available onsite.
There are outhouses, porta-potties, solar showers and (maybe) limited heated showers.
Half a mile from camp there is a swimming hole.
Camp happens rain or shine. There is no indoor space in case of rain (make sure that you are good with that!). We bet that a bunch of acroyogis can figure out how to play if it rains! (If you prepare for rain, maybe it will stay dry the whole weekend?)
Ticks are real and a growing risk given climate change. Knowing how to protect yourself matters. Here are some resources on lyme disease and tick removal (we will have tick removal kits on site):
You will be able to camp 50 yards (50 m) or a quarter mile (half a km) from where you park your car.
