Tahir Khaleeq

I have been working as a PGVLE fellow since August 2021. I started with a view to focusing on surgical simulation but have had the opportunity to develop other areas of my portfolio with his post.

On a daily basis I provide logistical support to several programmes in delivering their online material including regional and national core surgery programmes. I've also support the expansion of the PGVLE across multiples multiple specialities and deaneries across the United Kingdom.

During my fellowship I have built courses and modules to help trainees fulfil the requirements of their curriculum, modules such as the BOAST guidelines for orthopaedic trainees and courses such as the HEE WM fracture fixation course and the CABC trauma course, both of which have been piloted this year and will be converted to national courses after appropriate accreditation.

This fellowship has also given me an opportunity to gain higher degrees in medical education which i have been using to shape the courses and modules we have been creating on the PGVLE.
