Aircraft aerodynamics is most basic subsystem which deals with designing and modelling of wing geometry, tail geometry , rotor blade design and control surfaces of the aircraft. Innovation is brought through the application of advanced technology and robust analytical methods.
It provides preliminary data regarding outer geometry of the aircraft is sent to all subsystems. The subsystem provides essential values of overall lift, drag, stalling conditions which affect the performance parameters like range, max speed and engine thrust. Analysis is done using simulation tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics and in house developed codes. Designs analyzed using advanced BEMT and FVM methods. Premier rotorcraft design tool and other software suites are used for rotorcraft design.
