7th Asian/Australian Rotorcraft Forum (ARF) 2018

The 7th Asian/Australian Rotorcraft Forum (ARF 2018) will be held to enhance interaction among the rotorcraft operators, industries, academia, regulators, and maintenances in the Asian and Australian regions. This conference will be organized by ARF 2018 Organizing Committee, and sponsored by the local AHS chapters of the participating countries (Korea, China, Australia, India, Singapore, and Japan) as well as the Korean Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences.

The conference will offer attendees an excellent opportunity to the latest advances and topics in the following areas, but not limited to: on-demand mobility, innovative rotorcraft design, compound/convertible rotorcraft, rotorcraft development history, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, dynamics, flight dynamics and controls, smart rotor, propulsion, UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), system integration, composites, reliability, affordability, HUMS, avionics, safe operations, and on going rotorcraft development programs.

As of the 7th ARF, the Chairman Award has been initiated, awarding the Best Paper with a focus on International Cooperation.

The winner will be invited to present the winning paper at the European Rotorcraft Forum (ERF).

The abstract submitted by Team Garuda was been accepted and the team was invited for an oral presentation in this renowned conference, but due to lack of funds, the team was unable to present this paper.

11th National Conference and Exhibition on Aerospace & Defense Related Mechanisms

The 11th National Conference and Exhibition on Aerospace & Defense Related Mechanisms, organised by INSARM, DRDO and ISRO, focuses on the recent advances related to design, development, fabrication, testing and analysis as well as future concepts of various aerospace and defence related mechanisms. To foster information exchange among mechanisms engineers on the design, analysis, testing, production and operational experience of aerospace and defence mechanisms. This conference provides opportunity as well as platform to present and build a network among engineers & scientists working in similar area.

The conference topics will be generally on mechanisms for missiles, launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, interplanetary mission, strategic, scientific and commercial application

Best Papers will be recommended for the publication in Defence Science Journal (DRDO).

Three members of the team presented the paper in this renowned conference. The organizers were really impressed by the quality of the work presented and the team was invited for the visit at DRDO labs and was offered 6 months internship to develop the presented further.
