To enhance our knowledge of how rockets are manufactured, we built straw rockets using paper and tape, as shown in Figure 1. These rockets were extremely helpful because we were able to see how different fins, noses, and bodies affected the flight of a rocket. Additionally, since each member of the group built a rocket, we were all able to acuire the knowledge necessary to contribute to building our main rocket. As shown in Video 1, the rocket with the widest fins and the sharpest tip went the farthest. Although we weren't able to implement a sharp tip into our final design, we took this information into consideration when building our test rocket. Additionally, with some modifications, it helped us to decide to make our fins wider.
