A series circuit is a circuit in which the electric current takes one singular path through the circuit.
Our series circuit assignment we used two LED's, two switches, wires and three AA batteries to help us understand how electricity flowed through this type of circuit. This circuit required us to press both buttons in order for the current to pass through
A parallel circuit is a circuit in which the electric current takes multiple paths down the circuit, eventually branching together.
Our parallel circuit used two parallel push-button switches to power a single LED. The LED could be turned on with either or both of the push-button switches, since they are independent.
