Here are some examples of student work in Research Methods in Health Science course. These include final assignments, work done during in-class activities and formative assessments:

Assignments - Here is an example of a literature review submitted by a student as final assignment for Research Methods in Health Science course. The following assignment aligns with the following learning outcomes -

• Use written and verbal communication to describe research methods used in the health sciences and report and interpret findings from such research
• Utilize library resources and the Internet to conduct a literature review
• Analyze the existing evidence regarding a particular health science related topic and compile a written report

In-Class Activities - Look at images below. One is for finding gaps in literature activity where students identify three drawbacks of the assigned research article. The other image is where students analyse a research study in terms of purpose, research design, participants, strengths and weakness of the study. The following illustration demonstrate achievement of following learning outcomes -

• Identify major types of research designs and data collection methods, determine when each design and collection method should be used, and explain the rationale for using a particular research design and data collection method in a given context
• Work collaboratively with others in providing and receiving feedback on writing in the discipline
