First things first Write down 10 dreams of where you see yourself in 10 years
for several years i would write these down every single day until i knew them by heart. if i mastered one of my 10 goals then i added another goal.
Now pick one goal to work on. Do you want to be healthy? One actionable step you can do is wake up and drink 160z of water. Repeat this everyday until it is a habit. Let's stack: move your body 20 minutes a day. Step 1: drink your water (habit) this triggers you to start step 2: move your body. REPEAT - REPEAT - REPEAT

☀️ this week has been a doozy for me. I've had special education - team - and family meetings every single day since last Thursday. This means I've been working through my 20 minute lunch to get things done that I normally use my planning time for: responding to emails, calling parents, grading papers, filling out special education paperwork, collecting data, lesson planning, and dealing with tech issues. I want to share how I've kept it semi-together with the structure/routines I have in place.

☀️ I love a New Year and not to set resolutions but to revisit my vision and make sure I am living with intention. I am sharing my favorite resources to make your vision today!
Begin with the end in mind - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Put First Things First - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Now you're ready to complete the questionnaire
be specific: what does the best version of you look like and sound like?
what actions does this best you take?
Now we'll turn that broad vision into 10 dreams. Write them as if they are real and make them broad to encompass many items on your vision. For example, your vision of yourself works out daily, eats well, and rests then make that a statement I am healthy and strong.
Repeat to 10 - these are big dreams that guide your life and don't fluctuate much from year to year. Your intentions and action items can change aligned to that goal. For example, I have been writing I am confident for the last 5 years. How this looks for me changes year to year. Sometimes I am confident means my intentions are I will move my body 5 days a week, I will drink my water, I will put myself out there at a conference, I will pitch a journal article, I will train for a mini-marathon, etc. The dream stays the same but the actions I am taking to fulfill my confidence change.
Each day and week you will write an actionable intention aligned to your vision. If you wrote I am healthy and strong. then your intention for the day might be I will hydrate.
