Don't get me wrong I love a good rom-com and thriller but I try and make sure I am ALWAYS reading one book to make me better. Here are the few I've enjoyed over the last few months. I hope you like them!

This Eye-opening book is about how technology has shaped the generation of kids born after 1997. I cannot recommend this enough. There are resources on advocating for our kids to have a play-based childhood, including the initiative from Let Grow.
Here is the letter I sent my representative:
Dear Representative,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask for your support in introducing legislation that aligns with the Let Grow initiative, which focuses on fostering independence and resilience in children through what is commonly referred to as “free-range parenting.”
The Let Grow bill, which has been introduced in several states, seeks to clarify that parents can allow their children the freedom to engage in reasonable independent activities, such as walking to school or playing in the park, without the fear of facing neglect charges. This bill empowers parents to make decisions in the best interest of their child’s development, promoting greater confidence and responsibility in children.
In an era where overprotection can stifle growth, this legislation would help reestablish the balance between safety and independence, ensuring children are able to build important life skills in a safe and supportive environment.
I respectfully urge you to consider sponsoring and introducing this important legislation in our state. I would be happy to provide further details or connect you with representatives from Let Grow who can offer more insight into the benefits and successes of similar bills.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your positive consideration.
Warm regards,
