7th Grade Literature Events
The following events are considered some of 7th Grade's ELA Literature Events. They are annual events that involve our 7th graders to enhance their learning. Parental involvement and donations are requested to coordinate the following events.
In order for these events to flourish and continue, we are seeking a parent coordinator (per event) that is interested to assist with coordinating, communications, and/or securing donations specific to the event.
- Outsiders, "Blast to the Past" Event (Fall)- A parent/ guardian that will be able to assist with coordinating a "Blast to the Past" event. The students will receive a pre-lesson on the era to compare to current day.
- Charles Dickens Literature Appreciation (Winter)- A parent/ guardian that will be able to assist with coordinating a Charles Dickens Appreciation event. The students receive a comprehensive Literature packet
- "Shake it Up," Shakespeare Festival (Spring)- A parent/ guardian that will be able to assist with coordinating a Renaissance mini-festival that supports our unit on Shakespeare. It is a great lesson for students to appreciate literature and figurative language. Help requested may involve but (not limited to) decorations, donations, activity, coordination with parents, etc. and so much more.
- Matador Media Festival (Spring) - A parent/ guardian that will be able to assist with their filming and showcasing needs during class time. This is a big event that our students enjoy. Coordination may include: seeking donations for prizes, event planning, etc.
